- #4
I use unlock bootloader normal.
I was done follow your step just it's boot stuck google logo after flash magisk(16.74).
Sometimes it takes 5 minutes or so on outset boot. If information technology doesn't work, do a difficult restart a few times. If that doesn't piece of work, flash magisk again in twrp.
You use unlock bootloader normal??
- #five
I use normal unlock bootloader.Sometimes information technology takes 5 minutes or so on first kicking. If it doesn't piece of work, exercise a hard restart a few times. If that doesn't work, flash magisk once more in twrp.Yous employ unlock bootloader normal??

I wait devices boot around v minutes and it 'south reboot in to twrp recovery.
- #half dozen
I employ normal unlock bootloader.
I expect devices kick around 5 minutes and information technology 's reboot in to twrp recovery.
And so your bootloader _critical partition isn't unlocked?? Which tin't be right either since you've been able to kicking fastboot the update to P. Judge I just don't know what your trying to say.
- #vii
I utilise this command for flash unlock bootloader. So your bootloader _critical partition isn't unlocked?? Which can't exist right either since you've been able to boot fastboot the update to P. Estimate I just don't know what your trying to say.

I employ this command for wink unlock bootloader.
fastboot flashing unlock
If you flashed the mill image with no issues, then yous must have completed critical_unlock every bit well, otherwise the new bootloader shouldn't have taken (every bit far as I sympathize).
I'd starting time from scratch once more, and brand sure you follow the procedure exactly. Many users have used this with no consequence, so mayhap yous missed something? The first time I flashed the mill prototype to my 6P (my fill-in) I totally skipped flashing the boot.img, and wondered why it wouldn't boot
- #11
- #12
I have never ran fastboot flashing unlock_critical.
Yes,My devices is base of operations on android P and I was booted into the 9.0.OS.
Have you lot flashed the magisk uninstaller every bit well? Why are you showing magisk 16.0?
- #13
Yes,i was flashed the magisk uninstaller also.Take you flashed the magisk uninstaller as well? Why are you showing magisk 16.0?
I effort to root with magisk on my devices.
I try to flash patch kicking for root without twrp but it'southward not work.
I endeavour to wink magisk follow you but information technology'south not piece of work.
- #14
- #fifteen
Aye,i was flashed the magisk uninstaller as well.
I try to root with magisk on my devices.
I endeavour to flash patch boot for root without twrp but information technology'south not work.
I try to flash magisk follow you but it's non work.
Something just seems fishy to me. I've never heard of anyone not unlocking _critical, and being able to fastboot the manufacturing plant epitome. However, information technology seems that you lot accept somehow. All I can advise is to fastboot the 9.0 again to both slots, and allow it kicking upwardly each time.
And then fastboot into twrp, flash the installer zip, and allow it kick up. Then become dorsum to twrp, flash magisk uninstaller naught, then wink custom kernel, and let it kick upwardly. Then go back to twrp, and flash magisk 1674 again.
If none of that works, I'd unlock _critical, which volition wipe your phone, so start over.
- #sixteen
Is flashing the kernel mandatory?
Not mandatory, just it keeps TWRP touch screen working among other things...
- #17
I didn't have fourth dimension to update from DP5 yesterday, but I gauge that was a good affair because at present there's this guide, and it worked perfectly. Upgraded from DP5/flash 2.44 and who knows what Magisk version to all the latest and greatest in no time at all.
Thanks!

Something just seems fishy to me. I've never heard of anyone not unlocking _critical, and being able to fastboot the factory prototype. Nevertheless, it seems that yous take somehow. All I tin can suggest is to fastboot the 9.0 again to both slots, and permit it kicking up each time. Then fastboot into twrp, flash the installer zip, and let it kicking up. Then go back to twrp, flash magisk uninstaller cipher, so flash custom kernel, and permit information technology boot up. Then get dorsum to twrp, and flash magisk 1674 again.
If none of that works, I'd unlock _critical, which will wipe your telephone, then get-go over.
im having an outcome, i followed all instructions and got booted up an everything only when i flash twrp img it stays stuck on the twrp logo, flashed the one mentioned in o.p and the newest as well to remove any doubts, just no go. Any suggestions?
